Physical Education Curriculum
Here at P.S. 245 the Physical Education curriculum takes a skill based approach towards teaching and learning the subject of Physical Education.
Here are the skills we cover:
Locomotor Skills (ex. Skip, Jog, Gallop)
Gross and Fine Motor Skills
Movement Concepts (ex. Directions, Pathways, Levels)
Coordination and Balance
Dance and Rhythm
Rolling
Catching
Throwing
Kicking
Striking with Long and Short Implements
Sport Specific Skills: Soccer, Basketball, Team Handball, Hockey
And most importantly the concept and skills involved in FITNESS!
