P.S. 245’s music program encourages students to express themselves through music. Our students explore the world (near and far) with singing, dancing, composing, playing instruments, and musical analysis. While all grades will incorporate instruments and singing, our youngest students will primarily explore singing and movement. Our first and second graders will perform on flutophones, while our upper grades will be further challenged with modern band instruments. Our music program aims to reinforce classroom concepts while also providing enrichment, worthy of its own study.
